There were three men at the airport.

The man Anna was supposed to marry, the man who wanted to marry her, and the man who was a friend but wanted to be more than that.

It sounded like the beginning of a bad joke.

“This has to be a joke,” Anna thought. She had no idea why they all decided to show up now. Especially now that she wanted to be completely alone. All three of them occupied a place in her heart. Time for an eviction.

“When will you be back?” Jim, her friend, asked.

“I don’t want to say,” she said.

“Anna, please…” Raymond, her ex-fiancé, started.

“Don’t Raymond,” she cut him off.

“Will you at least consider my proposal?” asked Drew.

“No,” Anna said. She wasn’t even trying to be nice.

“I’m going to kill you,” Raymond snarled at Drew.

And before Jim stepped in, Anna had turned away and walked passed the security gate – leaving the men arguing in her wake.

She held only one thing close to her heart now – her plane ticket to Paris.
